How to treat tuberculosis naturally!


Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious disease with a high risk of fatality. Though TB is primarily a pulmonary infection, it can affect other organs of the body. Repeated or prolonged exposure to the bacteria increases the risk of tuberculosis. The disease cause tissue death of the infected organ and is fatal. Proper medical treatment will help to remove the bacteria from the body. The main symptom of this disease includes persistent coughing, fatigue, shortness of breath or labored breathing, night sweats, fever, chest pain etc

Home Remedies For Tuberculosis

1. Vitamin D Intake
Vitamin D has been scientifically proven to treat tuberculosis, and significantly speed up the recovery time exposing your skin every day to sunlight or supplementing regularly with high doses of vitamin D3 can effectively reduce the duration of the infection of tuberculosis.

This is the conclusion of a study published in the Journal of the National Academy of Sciences a year ago, which reveals once again that vitamin D plays an essential role in the treatment and prevention of disease. Researchers found patients taking both antibiotics and vitamin D recovered more than 36 percent faster than patients taking just antibiotics.

2) Vitamin C intake
Intake of vitamin C along with TB medication can shorten the duration of treatment. According to a report published in 
the journal Nature Communications (May 2013 issue) conducted by researchers at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University.

So, squeeze a glass of orange juice, add a pinch of salt, put 1 tbsp honey in it and mix well
Drink it daily. Some other excellent food sources of vitamin C include broccoli, bell peppers, parsley, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, lemon juice, strawberries, mustard greens, kiwifruit, papaya, kale, cabbage, romaine lettuce, turnip greens, oranges, cantaloupe, summer squash, grapefruit, pineapple, chard, tomatoes, collard greens, raspberries, spinach, green beans, fennel, cranberries, asparagus, watermelon, and winter squash.


3) Garlic 
Garlic is one of the most effective herbs to cure TB. Studies have shown that garlic oil helps to reduce TB lesions in the body. Garlic has anti bacterial property as it contains sulphur. This helps in destroying the bacteria causing TB. Garlic also contains allicin and ajoene which helps to inhibit the bacterial growth. Garlic improves the immunity of the body. Cooked or raw garlic can be used as a remedy.
The patient should take a solution that has been made from two gms. of Garlic, 250 gms of milk and one litre of water. After mixing these ingredients, the mixture should be boiled till only one fourth of the concoction remains. This concoction should be taken thrice in the day.

4) Custard Apple 
Custard apples can be used to cure TB as they are known to contain qualities of a rejuvenating drug. In order to use the fruit to its full potential, the pulp of two custard apples and 25 seedless raisins should be boiled in water, filtered until a third is left in the pot and then mix in two teaspoons of powdered sugar and a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon and cardamom.


5) Indian gooseberry
Indian Gooseberry is known to be rich in vitamin C, which is used to cure a variety of ailments, including tuberculosis. To treat TB, one tablespoon of fresh Indian gooseberry juice should be mixed with one tablespoon of honey and eight ounces of water. The patient should take this solution every morning and would notice it taking effect within a few days itself.

6) Drumstick leaves 
Another herb which is considered to effective in the cure of TB is drumstick leaves. The leaves should be made into a soup by boiling a handful of drumstick leaves in 200 ml of water for about five minutes. After the soup cools, lime juice, pepper and salt should be added t it. The patient should consume the soup every morning in an empty stomach.

7) Celery leaves 
Celery leaves in the form of juices can also be used a remedy for TB. In order to extract the juice, the leaves needs to ground. The patient needs to consume at least four tablespoon of the pure celery juice for the first few days of the treatment. The quantity can be reduced to two tablespoons once the patient notices a difference in his stool.

8) Mint juice 
Mint often acts as detoxifying agents that cleanses the body of side effects from strong TB medications. It is also known to nourish the lungs and strengthen the immunity system. The patient should have a glass of mint juice which has been mixed with two teaspoons of pure malt vinegar, two tablespoons of honey and 150 ml of carrot juice. The solution should be taken at least three times a day.

9. Plantains
Plantain Bananas are rich source of nutrients which will boost the immune system of the TB infected person. Plantains help to reduce the fever and cough caused due to tuberculosis. Make plantain  juice and drink at least one glass daily or you can mix one mashed plantain banana with one cup of coconut water, half-cup of yoghurt and one spoon of honey and consume it twice daily to get relief from cough and other symptoms of tuberculosis.

10. Pineapple
Pineapple juice is very effective in treating tuberculosis. Pineapple juice helps to reduce the mucus formation and provides faster recovery. Drink fresh juice of pineapple on daily basis.

11. Black Pepper
Black pepper is effective in cleansing the lungs and reducing the mucus production. This in turn helps to relieve the chest pain caused by tuberculosis. Pepper also has anti inflammatory properties which will help to reduce the inflammation caused by infection and coughing. Fry 8-10 black pepper in clarified butter and make a paste of it. Add a pinch of asafetida powder to this paste. Take half teaspoon of this remedy every few hours
